Why is grass fed beef healthier than grain fed beef?

“Animals that are raised in feedlots are given diets that are specifically designed to fatten them up, which help the farm boost productivity and lower costs. Genetically modified grain and soy are the main components of these animals’ diets. To cut costs even more, animal feed may also contain by-products such as municipal garbage, stale pastry, chicken feathers and candy.

When animals are raised in confinement, they deposit large amounts of manure in small spaces. The right thing for the farmers to do is to collect and transport this manure far away from the area; however, this can be a very expensive task. More increasingly, farmers collect the manure and to cut costs, dump it as close to the feedlot as possible. As a result, the soil becomes over packed with nutrients, which can lead to ground and water pollution.”

Frozen Car Door

Tips for Opening a Frozen Car Door

If it's simply the car door lock that's frozen, try heating your car key with a lighter and inserting it into the lock. The heat from the metal may be enough to thaw the ice and allow you to unlock it. To ensure that the lock will not freeze again, spray it with WD-40.

If the entire door is frozen, carefully chip the ice away from the edges with a scraper. Be careful not to scratch the paint of the car. If you cannot chip the ice away, try pouring some windshield washer fluid on the icy areas; windshield washer fluid contains alcohol and this may help melt the ice.

Use a blow dryer set on high to melt the surrounding ice.

The best way to open a frozen car door and prevent future frustration is to purchase de-icer. Many good brands are available at hardware and auto shops – just be sure the solvent displaces moisture and leaves behind a lubricant. If the lock itself is frozen, spray the product directly into the key hole, wait five seconds and then put in your key and try to turn it. Most of these products have straws that help direct the product out of the can and into small areas, making the de-icing process easy.

Once the door is open, consider spraying the de-icer along the hinges of the door to keep other parts from freezing. Keep the de-icer in your home or garage where you can easily find it. Do not keep it in your vehicle. Having de-icer in your frozen vehicle won't do you much good.

2007 Dodge Intrepid Problem

The coolant system appears to have exploded; loss of power steering and power breaks and there's water/coolant in the oil pan. From reading about other owners similar engine failures, I feel lucky to have gotten so many miles out of it. To fix this problem would cost much more than this car is worth.

With no warning the engine just shut down. Coolant in the lower engine case.To our surprise this is a common problem. We were given a price of 6,000 dollars to replace the engine. Kelly blue book for this car is 3,500. Needless to say we're not fixing it. . With only 75,000 mile we were hoping for two more years from this car. This is the first car I owned that didn't make it over 125,000 miles.
